The Mystery Of The Missing Sleep

Bad idea: trying to read a mystery novel when you're severely low on sleep. It's a little difficult trying to figure out whodunnit when you're having trouble remembering who the characters are three pages later.

  1. I'm not completely sure (smart web pages being what they are) whether this was written at 4:25am your time or mine. I have a nasty feeling it was yours. Ouch, I'm sorry. Figuring out whodunnit would be a nice bonus, but, more than that, I hope you can get some more sleep tonight.

  2. My time, I'm afraid. It was followed by four more hours of obligatory wakefulness, followed by four hours of sleep, so really not so much fun. But I'm off night shifts again now, and I should be able to really sleep tonight. Thank goodness.

  3. [Sorry, I've been rather absent, and had lost track of your shifts.] I hope you *can* sleep tonight. No staying up late reading! :-)

(Which is what I tend to do when I get to the weekend. Stupid boy.)

  4. Nobody can keep track of my shifts. I'm lucky I can keep track of my shifts. :)

Anyway, there is no doubt in my mind that I will sleep tonight. Should be interesting to see what that feels like, again. :)

  5. Agatha Christie's Thirteen at Dinner. I'm making my way through the big book of Hercule Poirot novels I got at the last library sale, since I've read very little Christie and I figured it was about time to rectify that. I'm about 2/3 of the way through Murder on the Orient Express now.
