Time Keeps On Slippin'

You know, when I bought my alarm clock, the fact that it automatically adjusts itself for Daylight Savings Time seemed like a really nice feature. Now it's not only useless, but actively dangerous. Thanks, Congress.

Well, at least I actually got one more hour of sleep today than I initially thought I did.

  1. It's amazing congress has the power to actually change time!
    My VCR automatically changed too.

Looks like my computer did get the update.

  2. For some reason, I thought Daylight Savings Time did end this weekend. It hasn't really been an issue today, but I suddenly read your post, looked at the VCR, then back to my computer, then over at the alarm clock, and I had no idea what time it was.

    It is next weekend, right?

My VCR didn't change, I think probably just because it doesn't get a time signal, not being plugged directly into the cable any more. My radio-controlled wall clock didn't change this time, either, which is something of a relief. Last time, it kept resetting itself back to the wrong time every time I tried to change it. It took me ages to get it to keep the right time again.

And I dunno about Congress. They think they're the freakin' Time Lords or something.

    Fred:

Yes, apparently it ends next weekend, 2 AM, Nov. 4. I had to look it up, myself, to be sure.

  4. I'll probably start an argument with this, but...

I think Time Lords are pretty dang competent compared to Congress.

  5. Your clock sounds awful! I'd totally freak out if my clocks changed all by themselves...on the wrong weekend! UGH!
