I Ain't Got Jack

You know what would be really nice? If Netflix, after you've reported a disc mis-labeled and been told to send it back and re-add the correct disc to the top of your queue so you'll get a replacement, would actually let you add it back into your queue instead of telling you that you already have it at home.

What would also be nice is if I had me some Samurai Jack, like I expected to. *sniffle*

  1. I find it interesting that at this point in time people still insist on trading physical media around when your Internet is already here!

  2. Oh, give it a few more years. I know right now the answer for me is a) my computer's kinda poky and slow, b) it doesn't network into my TV, and c) it's often easier to find stuff on disc than for download. I'm expecting most of those problems to vanish as both I and the rest of the population keep on sliding up the technology curve. Of course, there's also d) stuff that's legally available for download tends to be offered with crappy terms and to come loaded with DRM that, if you're lucky, only limits when and where you're allowed to watch it and doesn't actually break your computer. At least with a DVD you know where you stand.

  3. What is it with you and sci-fi characters named Jack?

  4. I don't know! I've recently discovered a great fondness for Jack O'Neil from Stargate, too.
